Cannabis Compassion was created to help patients who have registered with the OMMP. We are a free resource with information about growing your own medicine, finding a grower, and help obtaining quality medical marijuana (MMJ) from other OMMP patients and growers with surplus. The Oregon Medical Marijuana Act (OMMA) does not allow compensation for cannabis, so members compassionate enough to donate medicine may not charge for it. Our mission is also to educate anyone in a state with medical marijuana laws about the medical benefits and uses of cannabis.
DO NOT SEND MJ OR SEEDS ACROSS STATE LINES!
This is a peaceful site where everyone must be respected and treated with kindness. We are not here to fight with anyone or any other medical marijuana organizations or web sites. We need each other; fighting is bad for all patients. We are a diverse group - let us put our personal differences aside and live together in peace.
The Terms of Service (ToS) of Cannabis Compassion is a growing document. As things change so will the TOS. Following are the basic rules. The pinned posts in this forum (Read This First) give more detail about most of these rules, and will provide some other useful information about the site too. Also, please review the Forum Rules in the forums that have them.
Terms of Service (you must agree to these terms in order to use this site):
- Be kind and respectful to everyone - be compassionate!
- Do not break laws at this site. Anyone who uses this site to request marijuana be given, sent or sold illegally will be banned. No exchanging, trading, swapping for anything MMJ related, that shows compensation which is not allowed under the OMMA. No selling MMJ or taking any consideration in exchange for MMJ - EVER!
- Do not come here looking for patients to designate you as their grower so you can grow more plants, give the patient a small token, and sell the rest on the black market. You are a predator - you will be banned.
- Do not solicit members/or offer for clones or medicine unless you have specifically been invited to do so by that member. We have forums for requesting and offering clones and medicine, to which you will have access if you are a registered OMMP member and have sent in copies of your card. If you have your paperwork completed but have not received your card in the mail yet, you may send a personal message (PM) to an Administrator or Moderator for help, but you MAY NOT PM OR CALL any other members asking for help unless you have a previous arrangement with that member and he or she has expressly told you that it's all right to ask. This is a serious offense and may result in you being banned.
- Do not solicit members for clones or medicine in the Chat Room. Do not troll our members on the board or via PM .
- NO threats of any kind are allowed. Sometimes we all do something that hurts someone, step on someone's toes - if you do, apologize immediately. People who hurt or offend others must apologize: do it publicly for public offenses and in PM for private offenses.
- Any person, who shows a pattern of behavior that harms or stresses any other members (even if offline), will be suspended, and may be banned, depending on the severity of the offense. We will not let predators prey upon any member, nor bullies intimidate them.
- Do not disparage anyone's or any organization's honesty, knowledge, intent, intelligence, or character in any forums.
- In political or religious discussions, practice extreme courtesy and show respect. This is not a political webiste, nor a religious one, there are other sites that cater to those areas of interest. You may discuss issues, but do not allow the discussion to become a personal fight. If things get heated up, step back. Think before you post. Do not preach or lecture, otherwise speak freely. There is a forum for information on Cannabis Legislation, and another for Spiritual Expression.
- Racist epithets or disparaging remarks against any race, religious or group are not welcome here.
- Do not post bogus growing advice or rumors, it hurts everyone. Post only from your personal growing experience or other reliable source. Be prepared to back up your statements with references if asked.
- If a forum has Forum Rules (at the top of the forum page), read them and follow them when posting there.
- Do not jump into a topic to ask questions or make comments not related to the conversation (do not 'hijack' topics).
- No posting links to "offensive" sites like porno, phishing, etc.
- One account per member, if you have a spouse they may join under/with their own email address.
- All members must follow the TOS, from administration on down.
- Violation of the TOS may result in suspension of posting permissions at an administrator or moderator's discretion until the problem is resolved, or banning from the site.
Once you have registered please go to the Introductions Only forum and introduce yourself. When you do your group will change from Member to Active Member, and you'll be able to post in other forums, view members' profiles, use the search function, and send and receive PMs.
