How to look for a grower using the grower request forum.

If you are looking for a grower, first of all please stop and reconsider. Growing your own medicine is the best way to ensure you have good quality and adequate quantity. It's probably easier than you think, and there are a lot of very qualified people here who will help you with knowledge, advice, equipment, and sometimes even mentoring. If your circumstances really don't allow you to grow, and you can't find someone who you know well and trust, and you really need a grower, we have a Looking for a Grower forum in the Private Request Forums category (you must be a Private Member to see these forums). It is visible only to Senior Members and staff and those Private Members to whom we've given temporary access so they can post a request there.

We have had problems in the past with opportunistic growers preying on unsuspecting patients; they get the patient to designate them as their grower, so that they can legally have more plants... then they give the patient a little bit, a token amount, often of rather poor quality, and sell the rest on the black market. They don't have the patient's welfare at heart, are only interested in making money, and the patient gets screwed. As a strategy to prevent this, or at least minimize the possibility, we made a new group, the Senior Members, and prevented anyone else from seeing the forum. Senior Members are Private Members who've been here for a while, and whom we know well enough to trust that they're not going to
take advantage of you. This isn't an ironclad guarantee that anyone who can see that forum is going to be a great grower, or even that some nefarious profiteer couldn't slip through
and scam you somehow, but it's pretty unlikely.

If you want to use this forum to help you find a grower, and you are a Private Member, but not a Senior Member yet, PM any administrator and ask if you can have temporary access to that forum so you can post a request there. Good luck!
