It is about to get really cold, are you ready for it?
***
I know I will be stocking the wood pile and breaking out extra blankets.
***
For anyone needing wood cheaply, there are several places that offer millends. I think it runs around $25 a truckload, or $40 for a pallet from the yard. They aren't ideal, but they are cheap and keep a house warm.
Most churches are extremely helpful when people need blankets, clothes or other things to keep them warm. Or, they can point people in the right direction to find the help they need.
It's going to be cold, and I just want to make sure everyone in the CC family is taken care of. If there is any way that I can help, please let me know.
Ready for the cold weather?

Thank you Shari!
I just thought with the cold coming, it might be helpful to have some resources listed to help out folks in need.

For people driving:
Road Conditions
Food boxes: (Many of these places have blankets and other items, and can assist with getting help with utilities)

I'm going to move this to our Useful Resources forum as it will be helpful there also.
Also the LEAP program just started taking applications November 1st, and I know that is first come first serve.. I know the
Catholic Community Services in Springfield is one receiving the apps.
