-NEVER, NEVER sign a blank form for a grower, NEVER. You yourself fill in all information, and send to DHS yourself, along with a copy of the growers ID and grow information.
- Do not let the prospective grower send info in for you.
-Do not get involved with Growers or Caregivers who:
-Who constantly avoid your calls.
- Ask for money up front.
- Who demand that you pay them for your medicine, other than
fair compensation for the actual costs of growing.
- Who ask for personal information
- Who contact or harass you in any way which you are
uncomfortable with.
- Who threaten you in any way.
- Who consistently do not produce your medicine, but always
have excuses as to why not.
- Who consistently provide you with only low grade, poor
quality medicine.
-Be leary/wary of anyone sending you PM's unsolicited to be your grower, this should be reported to an Administrator.
The patient should request help with medicine when signing with the grower, realizing that a grower may not always be able to provide a significant amount right away.
It is best that you sit down with a prospective grower, and discuss things one on one, . Remember those are YOUR plants they will be growing , and all OMMP regulations should be followed.
Also patients, if growers get pushy and are not fulfilling their original agreement, re-think the relationship.
GROWERS
First off we ask you get to know this community and better yet, let this community get to know you, before even asking for patients, here at Cannabis Compassion.
Please, if you are a new, and first time grower, please do not take on any patients until your abilities at growing will make you yourself "self-sufficient" first. Too many times, we have seen unskilled first time growers take on patients too quickly, and this can cause patients to go without the medicine they need, or receive poor quality medicine. Get a couple of grows under your belt, gain experience using experienced growers advice, then take on one patient at a time, so that you are able to provide patients their needed medicine at each harvest.
If you are already a grower,, you should be prepared to let this community get to know you.
Also growers, if patients get pushy, and are expecting more than your original agreement, re-think the relationship.
And to both parties, a signed agreement is recommended to stop either party (grower or patient) from misunderstanding what the agreement is.
These are intended to be suggestions, and guidelines for starting a new patient/grower relationship. These are not rules, or regulations, nor are they intended to be the only guide to follow. Your own instinct, and feelings are also good indicators, as to the possible success of a potential relationship.
Cannabis Compassion can not/will not be responsible for any misbehavior of the grower you select. We do our best to keep the site safe, but you are the final judge.
This is an Oregon Medical Marijuana Program Forum (OMMP)site.
